We love to help owners see the true potential of their dogs. So often our vision of what our dog can be is skewed by naughty behaviors of their past. In return we lower our expectations, rather than raising our skill level. In essence we “give up on our dog and on ourselves”. Sometimes the learning curve is just too steep. Here at Enzo’s Dog Training we help you see you can change your dogs behaviors by changing the input you are filling your dog with.
At Enzo’s Dog Training we specialize in helping you learn to balance your dog and his/her unwanted behaviors. We love to get your dog in a clear, focused and balanced space so we can create the best results in the leased amount of time. Board and Train gives us an opportunity to create a solid foundation which is more manageable for you to maintain upon their return home. We offer two, three and four week Board and Train programs that will best suit your unique situation, knowing they receive 24/7 training and structure.
Enzo's Dog Training is also a non-profit dog rescue. We are all here with a common goal of rescuing dogs, training and finding them forever homes. We choose Non-Breed specific dogs who have temperaments suitable for families.
It takes a village of volunteers to run a successful rescue business: Fosters, Trainers, Transporters, Adoption Coordinators, Fundraisers, Vets, and the list goes on.
Because we are an ALL breed, non-breed specific dog rescue we have the opportunity to find great family dogs. We choose dogs based on temperament not breed. Often when a dog comes into Enzo's Dog Training we have no idea what "breed" it is, even vets and shelters struggle with selecting a breed to mark on their kennel card. So I say "what do you think he/she is"? While "breed specific" rescues search listings for their breed, we search listings for dogs being passed up because they are not a specific "breed", and are "great" dogs. All of our dogs see one of our vets for a health check. We do our best to give the best medical care while the dogs are in our program. We do not make promises or guarantees regarding the health of any of our dogs, but we do our best to adopt out healthy dogs. Along with a health check, our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on vaccines, rabies and microchipped. Sometimes dogs need boosters after they are adopted, we make sure to list all needed vet care upon adoption.
When a dog comes into Enzo's Dog Training they go into an approved foster home for a minimum of 21 days before they go up for adoption. During the 21 days we vet the dog and take care of all necessary health needs. This also gives us time to allow the dog to acclimate to a home environment. We feel it takes at least that long for a dogs personality to show. Some dogs take much longer to be available for adoption based on medical needs and training needs. We also offer training to any of our foster dogs.
